Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the usual face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
